I have been searching for way of entertaining my boys easily over the school holidays (Eldest’s current favourite boredom busting game is winding youngest up – it turns out not to be so much fun for anyone else!) and as well as a giant puzzle book, which lives on our kitchen table, paper chain-making, gingerbread baking and dishing out chores, I’ve also put together a little Christmas quiz to keep everyone amused. I think the chores are my favourite (at lest when I get the boys to do them), but in keeping with the season of goodwill, I’d like to share my quiz with you – consider it my Christmas gift.
There are ten rounds, each with a festive flavour, and the questions vary so there is something for everyone (although most of the focus is towards children). You can choose to dip in and out of it, or have a family quiz night – whatever you like. Obviously the answers are included too, so be sure to keep them out of the way of prying (cheating?) eyes… How well do you know your Christmas songs, or unusual traditions from around the world? Maybe it’s time to find out.
If you do have a go, I’d love to know what you think, or if you have any other ideas for keeping boredom (and squabbling) at bay, please do tell – surely it can’t be just my children who have something of a love/hate relationship?! Enjoy!
