Ice Tobogganing 30th January 2011

What a lovely day we (well, I) had today. We went to Blea Tarn with the boys, and although there was one ever so slight disagreement, we all eventually made it, without anyone being carried (we didn’t use the route in the link – ours was much farther and steeper!)

I think it’s fair to say that the boys’ favourite bit was the sheet ice covering patches of the road, which they decided to go “ice tobogganing” on. This basically involved hurling themselves at it, and sliding down. They might have got cold and wet, but they have a great time doing so.
