Solitude

I spent a rare afternoon out in the sunshine with just the dog for company today. And I enjoyed every second. I think the people I passed as I meandered through the woodland and along the edge of the tarn must have thought I was some kind of loon, because I kept realising I was smiling for no particular reason. I had such a lovely time, basking in the early spring warmth, that I was just content and carefree, making the most of my halcyon day. I think you can see why.
